This Wipe Clean Weighted Blanket, made by Sensory Direct, can be used on a bed (on top of existing bedding) or is perfect for draping across the shoulders or wrapping around the body for a calming hug effect.

Weighted Blankets are often used by those with sensory processing disorder(SPD) to help the feel more grounded.  Weighted blankets are widely used to help manage anxiety, PTSD, panic attacks and reduce meltdowns. Used at night weighted blankets can aid relaxation and help to improve sleep.

The weight is provided by plastic beads sewn into small individual cells. This design allows the user to place the Weighted Blanket over themselves and feel their body being cocooned by the beads for a deep pressure calming effect.
