Looking for a school shoe that fits AFOs? Do you struggle with laces? Let us introduce the Excursion All Black! This all black shoe has a discreet back zip with easy pull tag. Open it up and it’s easy to get your foot (and orthotic) in. Plus you can remove the insole if you need more depth.

Lined with lycra and cushioned for comfort so they are as seamfree as possible, we have also stamped the tongue label for anyone with heightened sensitivity.

How to find the right shoe size (kids)

Friendly Shoes Size Guide

  1. Measure your foot length in cm.
    • Trace the sole of your foot (including orthotic if you wear one) on a piece of paper on the floor. Keep the pen as straight as possible for the most accurate drawing. Then measure from the back of the heel to the end of the longest toe.
  2. On the size chart above, find the foot length closest to yours.
    • If your foot length is between sizes, choose the bigger size.
  3. Measure around the widest part of your foot in cm.
  4. On the size chart above, find the circumference closest to yours.
    • If your foot width is between sizes, choose the bigger size.
  5. If your width and length correspond to two different shoe sizes, you will need to choose the bigger shoe size.
  6. For particularly wide feet or AFO wearers, you are likely to measure one to two sizes larger for width than length.
    Removing the insole will add an extra approx 0.8cm in width.
